Photographs from several visits to the UAE, 2020–2023. Between glass towers and old alleyways, Dubai is built at a scale that dwarfs the people inside it — and the birds seem to be the only ones unimpressed.

Into the Silence

Colores del Barrio

Metaxourgeio, a small neighborhood in Athens, holds a street carnival unlike anything else I know — no vendors, no sponsors, no outside support. It peaks as the sun goes down — thunderous drumbeats, dancers, bursts of colour. Rhythmic and hypnotic, a primal celebration with an Afro-Brazilian twist.

Born and based in Athens, I picked up my first camera in 2019. The street is my primary territory — a space where the personal and the collective continually bleed into one another.I am drawn to the tension between chaos and stillness and photograph mostly at the edges of the day, when light seems to choose where it falls.My work explores states where identity feels fragile, where things don't quite hold together — and the moments when something vital breaks through.
